Happy Halloween! Wow we have so many events to attend today and tomorrow and then all of a sudden it’s November and we’ll jump right into the holidays and start furiously shopping and decorating, it seems this time of year flies by the fastest.
I’ll be spending my November less traditionally – in exactly one week we’re leaving to go abroad to Fiji, New Zealand, and Australia, the trip we’ve been planning all year. We do have a house sitter for our plants and kitty cat so the house is taken care of. Next week I’ll be busy packing for the trip and writing posts to schedule during my absence. In spare moments, I’ll be soaking up as much autumn as possible before we depart.

Hello Angela!
We are headed to Fiji for 4 days, then NZ (South Island, Christchurch —> Queenstown) for 6 days, then Cairns to Brisbane/Gold Coast to Sydney for 9 days.. sadly we will miss Melbourne but hear it’s so beautiful! Someday we will visit your lovely city !
I live in the South Island of NZ & our weather is just warming up with summer just a month away – I hope you have a wonderful trip here! We are very fortunate to call this county home. Can’t wait to see where you’re going. Enjoy!
I’m excited Rachel! We’re bringing tank tops and flip flops… Funny here in the States it’s cooling down as we head from autumn to winter, when we get to your side of the globe it will be like summer, when we return home it will be cold and wintery! What an adventure…. :)
I live in NZ and I would recommend a few jackets still! I live on the North Island and today is a high of 65 so it will be colder down there.
You’re missing the best part of New Zealand – Waiheke Island where I live. It made Conde Naste’s top 10 islands of the world to visit!
Can’t wait to hear about your trip! We head down under in the spring.
The video “If moms talked to each other the way they talk to their kids” was hilarious. You need to finish the wine that I gave you and then ask me if you can have some more…
Ha ha I know Lilly SO funny!
And just like that it’s Christmas! I hate how my favorite holiday (Thanksgiving) doesn’t get much recognition. Your trip sounds amazing – enjoy!
