Weekend Reading

By Kate Riley June 27, 2014

It’s been an interesting week around here, I’ve spent much of it looking at tile samples until my eyes glaze over. Also picking up extra power tools and packing dishes and furnishings to load up on the moving truck next week as we head out to the desert to start work on the house. We’ll be living there during the renovation journey (going back and forth between CA and NV) so it needs some furniture, there is much to do to get ready. I start to perspire just thinking about it all…

This setting looks like a better way to spend a summer day. I hope you are all squeezing in some serious down time this month where you do nothing but catch up on a pile of books and magazines followed by an afternoon nap.

  1. Kate, sounds like you are getting into the thick of things with your renovation. Exciting and exhausting all at the same time!! You will do great! :-). This is a great compilation of reads. Thanks for putting them together and for including one my posts! Such an honor!!

  2. So glad to see Maria Killam’s course mentioned. I actually found YOU through HER when I took her long Color Consultant Course 2 years ago to help my Interior Design Business. Her advice is found nowhere else and is indispensable when renovating. I am enjoying your blog so much as well and it is one of only 3 that I read every week along with Maria’s and my friend Christine’s who is a wonderful food blogger http://www.chewnibblenosh.com Can’t wait to see your new home renovations as you work this summer! Best wishes, Jennifer
