Hey everyone! I’ve been feeling slightly under the weather today – it must be all that running around getting ready for back to school and my new exercise routine – I’m drained! I decided to give myself the afternoon off with a movie on the couch and some homemade thirty minute minestrone in the hopes I’ll be reenergized!
Tomorrow (Thursday) is a great day for any of you with burning DIY questions – if you’ve got one be sure to ask it over on the True Value Facebook page where I’ll be sitting at my computer answering questions as they post.
Be back tomorrow!
Pssst, the winners of the $100 True Value gift card giveaway announced here, was it you?
.
Hope you feel better soon Kate!
I recently tried my first DIY project, yay! I spray painted my medicine cabinet using the vaseline technique so it would look distressed. I love how it turned out but it scratches very easily. Should I put a protective coating on it? And if so, what?
Thank you and hope you feel better soon!
p.s. I want to do my fireplace casing next!
Hi Jackie, spray paint on metal can definitely scratch, the only thing you can use over it is a spray Polycrylic, that might help!
Hope the minestrone does the trick Kate! I tried it when your first posted about it, it’s one of our favorites! :)
You’re doing the right thing Kate – Hot soup and rest – that’ll do it. Feel better soon, eh. Couldn’t help the “eh” – I’m Canadian.
Oh my gosh! I felt the exact same way
Yesterday! I watched The Hunger Games
on the coach and just relaxed. I think it is
the change of seasons coming as well as
back to school stress! We all need to
recharge…take care!
Hope you feel better! I just made my favorite minestrone a few weeks ago, and it definitely helped.
Hope you are feeling better!!! :)
Hope you feel better soon!
Debbie
I’m sorry, I should have specified…it isn’t metal but that ugly orangey press wood. My bad!
Should I still use the spray polycrylic on that?
Thanks so much!
