New Favorite Etsy Shops

By Kate Riley February 9, 2017

Greetings friends! The storms continue here, I’ve been hiding indoors just waiting for all this rain to stop. I’m over it and craving some sunshine! All these rain clouds make me melancholy, do the clouds affect you in this way too? I end up spending more time online looking at random things. In the past few weeks I’ve discovered a few new shops that I like very much on Etsy. I love supporting small businesses founded by creative people specializing in a craft.

I discovered Nancy Knight Art and am having a hard time narrowing down which prints to purchase, I have my eye on these two prints below, abstract landscapes are my favorite style of art, it’s hard to choose!

Looking for a unique brass sconce? Check out both Worley’s Lighting and DL Designworks!

I never get tired of gold and white together. And you can never have too many little plants scattered around the house! Loving the planters in Marissa Grana and Avisha Michael’s shop. Imperfect gold stripes are my jam.

My stepdaughter moved into a little cottage in San Diego and she loves the boho look of woven wall hangings so as a move-in present I bought her one she chose from Maria Angela Forioso. Also take a peek at Teddy and Wool, that shop has several pretty patterns if you’re into macramé.

I bought two rings from Holy Land Jewelry a few weeks ago. I wanted something to wear on my middle fingers so I bought this ring and this ring. Check out the shop there are hundreds of pretty gold and silver rings at great prices.

What Etsy shops do you recommend or love right now?

  1. Thank you for the Nancy Knight info – her work is amazing. I’ve been looking for something to add to a photo that we purchased in Santa Fe. It’s a special process so that it looks similar to a water color, something from Ms Knight’s collection will be perfect. Wish we could exchange weather it’s going to be in the 80s here in AZ the heat is just around the corner. Be safe.

  2. I follow jessfranksart on Instagram. Her etsy shop is GreenAcreArts. I admired her abstract florals for some time and was thrilled when she offered 100 buck bouquets as Valentine’s gifts. They were 9 x 12 original acrylics on watercolor paper. My hubby came through (with lots of coaching) and yesterday I hung the framed original in my powder room. Much better than the bouquets that die after a week! She does abstract landscapes as well and has prints of a couple available on Minted. You should take a look!
I really like the second landscape pictured. I appreciate you reminder that there are many kinds of beautiful things on etsy.

  3. Etsy is the best! I’ve been stuck in the house due all these storms myself! I can’t stop buying tees for my son and I from candycoateddreamz. They have pretty good prices and free shipping. I also love thepinetorch. Their designs are so original!

  4. You’re the BEST! I see pictures on Pinterest of multiple stacked dainty rings and I’ve yet to find somewhere that has PRETTY ones for less than $1,000. HolyLandJewelry is a favorite for me now, too.

  5. I love Etsy so much and have purchased so many great one of a kind gifts! Super loving the macrame shop you suggested :) I’m pretty fond of my own shop on etsy, so if you’re ever in the market for baby items, I’m here, in the rain (for days on end, ugh), sewing and creating!

  6. There is a wonderful children’s monogramming and appliqué site on Etsy called shopkateandcarter. I ordered monogrammed baby and toddler shirts in Lily Pulitzer type fabric. So precious. I have a baby gingham- checked monogrammed swimsuit on order now. I can’t wait to get it!

  7. Etsy is so addictive!
I am loving Funnelcloud Studio for abstract art and illustrations https://www.etsy.com/shop/funnelcloud

Another fave print shop is Laura Amiss:

And Jenna Rose Handmade for this fabulous hamper: https://www.etsy.com/listing/185664071/light-rainy-day-hamper

Total self promotion but I also think my etsy Shop, ShopJanery, is pretty awesome. I was determined to create a functional-yet-fabulous pet bed that would stand up to life’s messes, and the result is my waterproof Charlie Cushion. I hope you’ll check them out!

I have so many small business crushes I could go on and on!
