Weekend hellos! I’ve been busy in a good way, spring cleaning and purging this week, getting rid of the things that aren’t beautiful or useful and hauling them off in bags and boxes to the Goodwill. I envision a home where every room has less stuff and surfaces that are clear; it’s a challenging task in a busy household, but little by little, I’ve found this week that purging of the clutter clears the mind. Today is ‘Best of the Blogosphere’ day again, and Amanda and I narrowed down our favorites, enjoy these inspiring spaces and projects!

There’s a beautiful new dining room over at Make Them Wonder, that dark moody wall is Ben Moore’s Narragansett Green and we’re also loving the live edge wood tabletop!

  1. I really need to be spring cleaning and purging too and it’s on my to-do list. I imagine it’s such a good feeling! I see an epic yardsale in my near future. (But ugh…the work involved!)

What an awesome collection of ideas this week! From HUGE gorgeous makeovers to my humble easy mirror update. Thanks so much for the shout out! Starting the day with a big smile! :)

Enjoy the weekend, Kate & Amanda! xo

  2. Hi Kate and Amanda-

Thanks so much for featuring my BHG dresser makeover today. XO It was such a fun challenge to be part of.

Getting rid of the junk feels great. I have a filled basement to still purge. A job I hope to tackle soon. Enjoy your new fresh and clutter-free spaces.

    Happy Weekend

    My best- Diane

  3. So much inspiration here! I always really enjoy these posts. I have to say, too – thank you so much for featuring my home office makeover some weeks back. Would you believe I totally missed it?! My daughter had eye surgery that week so I was well and truly distracted from my usual blog-reading schedule. Anyway, it was SUCH a nice surprise once I finally clued in, but I’ve been feeling bad that I missed my chance to say thanks. Better late than never, I’m thinking, so THANK YOU, I was so honoured to be included! It would be a privilege for anyone, but it’s an extra special boost of encoragement for a newish blogger like me. So appreciated! :) xo

  4. Thanks so much for the feature Kate & Amanda!! It feels so good to get rid of extra stuff, I recently donated lots when we moved!!

  5. Thanks for sharing these! We’re about to start remodeling our kitchen, and are planning on butcher block counters and a white sink. My husband has been trying to talk me into subway tile for the backsplash, and that Home Style Report kitchen really helped me visualize it!
