Autumn Table Setting + Link Party

By Kate Riley October 1, 2013

Greetings my friends and welcome to the Autumn Tablescape & Vignette par-tay! I was inspired to set a table in the traditional tones of orange, chocolate, and gold this year with a white backdrop to balance it all out. Our dining room is neutral and combines mixed wood tones which makes it easy to change the palette by season.

I’m crushing on these geometric candlesticks – they’re simple yet striking and so affordable, I couldn’t resist adding them to my collection, one set on each side of the table. I think tortoise shell glass is hawt, I’ve had that hurricane vase for over ten years (can’t recall where I bought it) it but the small tumblers turned votive candleholders are from Pier One.

I found these sweet little soup bowls at HomeGoods with a delicate maple motif on the outside and pinecone on the inside. The global inspired patterned napkins are from Pier One, and the table runner fabric is my Sprig pattern in an autumn colorway. (This pattern and others will be available in a few Christmas colors in Nov and everyday colors in January!) The white square plate and gold square charger are from last year’s silver and gold tablescape. The wood handled Sawyer flatware is from World Market.

This buffet and hutch across from the French doors in our dining room houses many of my props and platters as do the built ins on the other side of the dining room – I bought it years ago at Crate + Barrel and love it!

  11. Love your setting Kate, love the mix of gold and wood! Thank you for hosting, hope you don’t mind me sharing my Halloween table instead since I don’t really decorate much for Fall. :-)

  15. Your table is absolutely gorgeous Kate. Those sweet pine cone bowls are so pretty. They remind me of my parents wedding china with a silver rim and silver pinecones, which I have always adored. Your fabric is lovely. I am counting the days until your fabric is available!

  16. This table-scape is absolute perfection, Kate! The mix of gold and wood, those candlesticks, the bowls, the trestle table, the cozy throw, the vases, the pinecones… every detail is exquisite! You have such a gift for styling! I’m so impressed! And those cute little autumn vases… are they DIY? I need them in my life!

  17. Amazing Link Party, I have been clicking away for hours! Your table is gorgeous, I adore all the tremendous detail you brought to it. The candlesticks and the table runners? Love it!

  18. Hey Jen, thanks so much! I’ve used the bottles before years ago, I found them in my autumn bin. They’re little apothecary bottles (I think) that I found in a bin at a flea market. Simple alphabet stickers to embellish!

  19. Hi Kate…thank you so much for taking the time to host the party. Your table looks great and there are so many other beautiful links to look at! Have a great day…xo

  20. Hi Kate!
Your table is just beautiful! What color paint is on the walls in your dining room? It’s great too!

    • Thanks Kelly, that’s Camouflage by Ben Moore – all the paint colors in my house are featured in a link in the sidebar :)

  21. Kate, do you have any ideas why I cannot see the links? I can see your post and all the comments, but not the links. I am using an ipad2 and have never had this problem before. I’ve refreshed my screen and tried a new browser, but it’s still not working. Thanks for any suggestions you may have!

  22. The geometric candlesticks from CB2? I can’t find them on their web site. Did you buy them at an outlet or store? They are awesome and I’m slightly obsessed. Your table is beautiful. Can’t wait to look at all the others!
