Hello hello, I hope you all had a happy Fourth! I read that so many friends on the east coast were hit with rain and festivities were canceled. :( I’m so sorry. We’re in Las Vegas at my parents’ house and the temperatures are 110 degrees in the shade, but we’ve spent most of our time taking dips in the pool to cool off.
Today it’s another Friday edition of ‘Best of the Blogosphere’ and I’m loving these refreshed spaces and inspiring ideas. We’ll kick it off with two fab bathroom makeovers, this first sophisticated gray & white bathroom completed by Kathryn Lemaster, don’t miss the before photos!
Next up, my friends Layla and Kevin worked some magic in their half bath, transforming it with a soothing palette with paneling, wallpaper, and a dresser vanity.

I think I can live in those bathrooms!
Thanks for the round up! What great projects – I love that reupholstered wingback chair.
Fantastic round up! I’m amazed that wingback reupholster is no sew! Hope you have a great weekend.
The update on that first bathroom is amazing! I never thought I’d like grey as a wall color, but it sets off everything so perfectly in that narrow space.
I love BOTB always, but I think this one may be the most applicable one yet. I just bought a wing chair that really needs some new fabric. A dog is about to join our family, and I have the supplies at home to sew two beds. And my husband is off work for the summer and I was planning on giving him a hammock… and half wondering if I could make one. Now I know how. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Fab Julia, so nice to read you enjoyed these links!

Oh my goodness, we are in Vegas too!! Brought our son out here to celebrate his 21st birthday!! Yes, it is very hot! The heat is bearable during the day because we are in the pools, but at night, walking on the strip…..wow, it is hot!
I am in love with that first bathroom! I love grey and white together.. That’s probably why it’s a reoccurring theme in my house :)
such coolness…thx!!!!

Thanks so much for the feature! We are on vaca at Cape Cod and I haven’t been on my site all day and just took a peak and my traffic went crazy today :) I looked and it was b/c of little o’l you :) Thanks rockstar! xo
I adore these photos! I would love to visit Sandra’s blog. Anyway, thanks for the link. I love the tutorial for the reupholstering a wingback chair. :-)
Kate, I love both your sites, but please add a “NEW” section in Best of DIY, because I visit it regularly and need a place to see only the new ones and not check every category one by one. I believe it will be very helpful to everyone else as well :))
hey, I love the pom pom balloons and the sophisticate grey and white bathroom area a lot.
LOVE the dresser vanity!!
