Sponsor Spotlight: Buy Chalk Paint Online

By Kate Riley August 16, 2012

Hi all, I’m still playing catch up today after vacation and working on several spaces right now behind the scenes, two of the room makeovers are for charity, and I’m trying to get all the details right, it’s a bit crazy!  Meanwhile, I wanted to share you can now purchase Annie Sloan Chalk Paint online through my friend and sponsor Shaunna of Perfectly Imperfect.

Shaunna is an expert when it comes to working with Chalk Paint, she’s transformed a lot of drab pieces and created so many beautiful projects over the years, and she’s now an online stockist.

You can now purchase any of the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint colors through Shaunna including the newest color on the end table pictured above, a vivid and rich green dubbed “Florence”.

Shaunna also has brushes and waxes for sale too, be sure to check out all the inventory.  If you’re within driving distance of Troy, Alabama she also offers monthly workshops where you get to practice using the paints and waxes and she shares all her tips and tricks, included in the workshop is Annie Sloan’s book.  I’ve met Annie Sloan and heard her speak a few months ago, her story is inspiring, and I’m so happy her product is now so readily available.

I’ve worked with this product a lot and it’s one of my favorite paints for furniture.  Remember, the greatest thing about it is you can get busy painting right away, no need to prime, and I even paint indoors which makes it ideal for the hot and cold seasons or if you simply don’t want to move your furniture you can paint it in place!

  2. Wonderful! I am seriously considering chalk paint for our dining table turned study table in my living room, need to just jump in and do it!

  3. I’ve never heard of chalk paint (not that I’m much of a painter of any sorts), but this sounds really good.

  4. This past weekend away in Long Island, I came upon an Antique / Reclaimed furniture shop that was TDF (to die for!!) A few steps in I said to the owner… wow, someone here is really good at painting furniture. Well the owner is the painter, and sure enough most of the pieces were reclaimed / centsationalized with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. There is a dream-worthy cabinet in Paris Gray, and if it is there when I go back in another month, it’s mine!!!
If anyone can get there, it is in the tiny North Fork hamlet of Laurel. Shop’s name is “In the Attic, Too”.

  5. I used some Annie Sloan paint on a table base recently. This piece is plaster and had gotten all mildewy and rusty looking from being outdoors. I had to use about 3 coats of old White. It came out great but it all cost so freaking much after the paint and the clear and dark wax. I have to say first of all, I do not care for a very distressed look at all. Very often distressed things look dirty to me, I want to scrub with some soap and water and start painting! I have used flat heavy duty latex enamel and Briwax and got great results and I think it is more durable. I read about the flat paint and paste wax combination in a Southern Living magazine years ago and did a set of chairs and then kinda started painting everything. I will use up what I have and I don’t plan on getting any more of it. That’s just my opinion.

  6. Your post timing was perfect! I have a big project that Chalk Paint might work perfectly! I am going to contact them right now to see if their product can work for me! Thanks for your suggestion!
